HartRAO (Jonathan Quick at Sat Mar 1 18:01:06 EST 1997) Minor failures
Reads heads failing - Write heads status unknown
First VLBI test of dual polarisation 18cm receiver
Onsala (Antonis Polatidis at Sat Mar 1 18:07:25 EST 1997) Success
Strong winds 13-15m/s (above the telescope stow limit). nevertheless we observed and there were no problems in the antenna tracking. Success
Effelsberg (dgraham at Tue Mar 4 03:05:49 EST 1997) Minor failures
Occasional VC11 problem
Westerbork (Ton Foley at Tue Mar 4 06:45:28 EST 1997) Success
Looks OK.
Shanghai (Huang Xinyong at Wed Mar 5 05:16:46 EST 1997) Success
Clock offset = 0.61-0.63 msec. No problems, weather cloudy.
Westerbork (Tony Foley at Mon Mar 10 06:03:07 EST 1997) Minor failures
I found that the attenuation settings were too low
for the RCP part, so that the VCs are saturated.
This gives no sensible total power/tsys information
and may give poor fringes.
Jodrell (Alastair Gunn at Tue Mar 18 13:09:17 MET 1997) Minor failures
Very bad interference. Although winds were high we observed
the calibration experiment with no apparent problems.
Medicina (Tiziana Venturi at Tue Mar 18 13:42:01 MET 1997) Failure
Failed to observe as Medicina not indicated as to participate in
the block schedule.
MPIfR (Correlator gang at Fri Mar 21 13:20:33 MET 1997) Minor failures
Onsala Polarisation swapped, Urumqi only RCP recorded,
Jodrell clock 20musec away from GPS value, Effelsberg+Torun+Shanghai
+Hartebeesthoek OK, WSRT antenna9 polarization elliptical.
Calibration (Fredrik T Rantakyro at Thu May 8 11:38:34 METDST 1997) Success
The ANTAB file for the experiment has been placed on VLBEER in the
Feb97 directory with the name c97l1.antab. This file contains the
preliminary calibration results and may be updated when I receive
updated information from the telescopes and the results from the
datareduction of the calibration experiments.
