Experiment Feedback
Metsahovi (Kaj Wiik/Ari Mujunen at Sun Feb 25 13:34:53 EST 1996) Success
No problems after we got snow off the radome(!!), weather was good
during the whole experiment, no data lost. This was the first
experiment for us with dual polarization; the RCP channel showed
slightly higher Tsys than RCP.

Onsala (John Conway at Sun Feb 25 14:55:40 EST 1996) Minor failures
Lost data in first 3hours due to syntax of pass command in procedures not being understood, neither head was positioned correctly. After fixing this no problems but note that Onsala has only LCP at 22GHz.
Jodrell (Dave Henstock at Mon Feb 26 06:27:14 EST 1996) Minor failures
(MkII telescope) Backup 22 GHz receiver was used due to cryostat
failure on primary receiver before start of experiment.
Check of sensitivity showed no problems with this backup
receiver.
Tsys measurements for LCP seem to be correctly calibrated,
but RCP Tsys measurements do not make as much sense.
Only one crash of the field system, resulting in lost data between
day 55 00:00-00:19. Tsys is in Jy, need to multiply measured Tsys by 0.9 for better calibration.
Cambridge (Dave Henstock at Mon Feb 26 06:31:28 EST 1996) Minor failures
Note that there are no Tsys measurements for Cambridge.
There is no reason to believe Cambridge failed -
a single dish 22GHz experiment using Cambridge on
the previous day worked fine.
Multiple crashes of Cambridge field system throughout experiment
resulted in lost data between the following times:
day 54 21:38-22:40; day 55 08:16-08:31 and 09:15-09:30 and
16:17-17:03 and 18:02-18:12. Tsys is 720 Jy (from EVN status).
Metsahovi (Kaj Wiik at Sun Mar 3 06:05:44 EST 1996) Success
Sorry about multiple messages; also the typo, I should
have been typing "The RCP channel showed slightly higher Tsys
than LCP".
Noto (Corrado Trigilio at Thu Mar 7 04:05:04 EST 1996) Success
Weather good, except from day 55/10 to 17 ut (strong wind and covered sky)
BBC04 was found unlocked and was replaced (anyway no data have been lost because BBC04 has the same setting as BBC02 in this experiment).
