EVN Programme Committee

The EVN Programme Committee (PC) meets three times per year in order to consider request for observing time on the EVN. The PC distributes a Call for proposals three times per year with submission deadlines of Feb 1, June 1 and October 1. Since 2008 June 1 the chairman of the EVN PC has been Tiziana Venturi (IRA, Bologna).

The PC meets shortly after each deadline and communicates its results to the proposers. PIs can check that their observing proposal has been received by consulting the list of EVN observing proposals (expt code, PI name, no title) published after each proposal deadline. As well as evaluating proposals, the PC discusses other issues of relevance to EVN observing and these are detailed in the EVN PC minutes (March 2001 and earlier).

The current membership of the PC consists of astronomers internal and external to the EVN.
