The expected aggregate bitrate is 1024 Mbps with the following limitations. Shanghai and Arecibo are limited to 512 Mbps, Arecibo is further limited to 256 Mbps outside UT range 4-10. Medicina and Yebes are limited to 896 Mbps; in the 1024 Mbps mode the highest subbands are dropped. The effective data rate to the MERLIN telescopes (except for Jb1/Jb2) is 128 Mbps due to analog bandwidth restrictions. Availability of MERLIN outstations and Jb2 will be limited in 2009/2010 due to the e-MERLIN upgrade.
